We all know we should be drinking more water. Drinking more water provides countless benefits for your skin, muscles, kidneys… The Daily Burn even suggests that drinking three more cups of water a day could help you cut out 1,400 calories out of your week!
Even with so many good reasons to up our H2O intake, it’s still so hard to fill up our water bottle and pass up soda, juice, milk, etc. Make water your favorite thing to sip by trying out a fruit-infused water recipe!
Check out these three fruit-infused water recipes that go above and beyond adding a lemon wedge to the top of your glass.
1. Watermelon Basil Infused Water
- 2 watermelon slices
- One handful of chopped basil
2. Strawberry Mint Infused Water
- 5-8 strawberries
- One handful of mint, chopped
3. Pineapple Ginger Infused Water
- One cup of pineapple chunks
- One-inch piece of ginger
Directions for all recipes: Chop and slice ingredients into small pieces. Add water. And that’s it! 🙂
For maximum flavor, allow infusion to soak for about half an hour in the fridge/freezer. Too eager to take a drink? Use your fork to punch some holes into the fruits so they’ll release flavor faster.
